This Gradient Amplifier MFO4 package consists of 3 power amplifiers, a power supply and a control interface. The Gradient Amplifier Subsystem resides in the Gradient RF Driver (GRFD) Cabinet of Ovation,and IPS Cabinet of Profile. A Gradient Control Amplifier (GCA) amplifies the gradient signal, and supplies gradient current to X, Y and Z-axis gradient coils. A power supply unit (PSU) provides power for three gradient amplifiers. The PSU consists of an input/aux section, a main High Voltage (HV) section, and Power Distribution Unit (PDU) section. The main connection to the supply is 200-208 VAC ±15%, 3 phase AC power to the PDU section. There are two types of power in the HV section: a HV section provides regulated high voltage to the amplifiers, and semi-regulated DC to the fan supply. This complete assembly meets all requiremnt of UL2601-1, CSA C22.2 No 601.1-M90 and IEC 601-1 and is compliant with GE's Mechanical Environmental Test Guidelines.
